| | Graduation Exactly 4 years of Uni life took de toil on me. I used to complaint how some pissy lecturers can be such an ass at times, whining on de non-stop assignments and projects.. I have to say Mass Communication studies is truly de tedious one of all but of course the most exciting one too. I notice that media students see things differently than others do, because of de life and experience of de genres of every movies and documentaries that we have encountered.
We digged de deepest meaning inside each stories and how it is filmed. De articles, de text discussed towards de new age and de new media in de world we live in. Thus, de various people we met in different walks of life in de society. When we make documentary for them, it’s a way helping them to voice out their message across to larger audience. Unlike other boring subjects, media students aren’t taught in a common classroom based method, sitting down listening to de lecturers and leave. NO. I tell you it is way way different than that. It’s something you never experienced before. It’s not a place where you have to answer your lecturer when you have to, it’s more than that.

I notice de most quiet person in my class have became de most talkative one. It’s just a place where you unleash your ideas, a place where you learn new words and new terms and new things all over again. I notice that everyone in my class learn to write better and no offense to my coursemates who spoke broken English during de first time entering Uni, they surprisingly speak fluently now!
In Mass Communication studies, you will travel, see, and hear things you never came across before. And all de things that I have learnt in Communication studies are EVOLVE and CONNECTED in our everyday lives. No, it’s not where you have to be creative and create an ad to sell de products in order to add value to a company’s business. No, it’s not about ACTING and producing movies nor drama. It’s not about organizing events. But yes we do all that I have mentioned but it is just way beyond. There are reasons behind why our projects gave a big impact for our study lives instead of just pass em’ all through…
And now I am so glad that I am officially learned. Graduation night was one of de best event I attended. It was worth my money flying back from KL... I remember clearly where peer pressure strikes, it envied me when my friends are ahead of me and some have graduated. At de same time, it scared me when some are stuck behind imcomplete. Some quit uni and some got eliminated.. Some even have doubt on me by finishing Uni... sigh.. All i wanted to do in Uni was just focused highly on my studies and leaving myself alone cos I needed to juggle work and study at de same time.. It was tough, and it pays off. :) |
